We are
Geeks. WordPress freaks, online addicts, Open Source lovers and Creative Commons promoters. We use the online as our no-speed-limit highway where it’s still enough time to stop and have a good laugh, discussion and gen irritated by politics.
We have the tools, just need the hools to keep us from being rescued.
Libertines. In many ways and many days. Food is good, cats are good, cycling is good, beer is good, Dawkins is good, lgbt is good, hi-tech is good, clothes are good, naked is good, London is good, arthouse cinema is good, clean is good, music is good, friends are good, Walthamstow is right and God is wrong.
Martins. Martin this and Martin that, no excuses to hate school, Martin’s bad and Martin’s cool, Hoe Street’s our favourite rule. We hate names unless it’s all about WT. Not for profit sounds good enough for now; no constraints, just content. Copyrights fully respected.
Lab rats. You can do tests on us, we’re fine and up next morning. We hate nothing more than the absolute lack of the middle ground. With no balance there’s nothing left but extremism and we already know how that’s ending. Here you go, test your keyboard and leave us a message.
Punks. And not in the biblical way. There are no 3 chords-songs or torn jeans. Working almost-normal jobs comes with little free time, but it never stopped us from social disobedience. We crave for intelligent debates and Reason although we can’t argue forever and sometimes we’re simply wrong. Oh well…
But we’re looking for you. We need other people to come help us write the Walthamstow Times. These are our times and they’re never coming back. If you feel you know your thing, be that cinema, music, interviews, visual arts, comments, pubs, food, smart politics or little of everything just pop in and drop us a message, we’d be thrilled to have you writing next to us. Make sure spelling is not an issue, but do keep your style all the way.
Walthamstow Times is a volunteer-driven website presenting local events and meetings, lots of useful information and articles about the local life.
